Are there fees involved?

ANCA uses Authorize.net to process all online transactions. A 4% transaction fee is assessed to cover the cost of these fees.

Why does my credit card or bank statement show Adirondack North Country Association/ANCA instead of the campaign I donated to?

Ignite is a project of ANCA (Adirondack North Country Association), which manages the donations that come through the site. Your donation comes first to ANCA and once the project is closed then a check is processed to the business that you have chosen to support. Once the project is funded or the campaign has expired you will be emailed an acknowledgement letter.

Is my contribution tax-deductible?

We do not provide tax advice. Backing crowdfunded projects is considered a personal expense by the IRS. Consult a tax specialist if you have additional questions.

Is my donation safe and secure?

Yes. Ignite is a secure and protected website. We use Authorize.net to process all credit card information, which maintains the highest industry security standards. No credit card information is stored on Ignite.
